Responsibilities: | The School of Jazz and Contemporary Music at the College of Performing Arts seeks a highly motivated student to serve as SJCM Academic Affairs, Student Assistant. We’re looking for an energetic, creative, and responsible individual to support initiatives within the School of Jazz & Contemporary Music. This position reports to the Associate Director of Academic Affairs, School of Jazz & Contemporary Music and is an ideal position for students who are interested in a career in the music business, administration, or education.
This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards, as well as student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.

Work Mode: On-Campus Position
Hourly Rate: $16.00
Hours per Week: 5-10
Responsibilities: - Assist with organizing Jazz & Gender events, juries, Improvisation Ensemble placements, and auditions for Elective Ensembles;
- Assist with academic communications;
- Light filing, Photocopying;
- Carry out general errands;
- Assist with the production and distribution of brochures and flyers;
- Support the Associate Director of Academic Affairs with tasks and initiatives, including syllabi organization, handbook preparation, and placement testing;
- General tasks and duties as assigned by Associate Director of Academic Affairs or other Faculty, Staff, or Administration

Preferred Qualifications: | Preferred Qualifications: - Recipient of Federal Work Study award
- Student in a College of Performing Arts degree program
