JOB DESCRIPTION
Key responsibilities:
Develop an end-to-end online merchandising strategy in service of achieving revenue objectives and optimizing the consumer experience
Lead a team of site merchants to maximize product assortment, product presentation, categorization, taxonomy and sorts to deliver brand x gender x category goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, buying, planning and creative to develop and execute key merchandising campaigns
Monitor and report on key performance indicators including sales, conversion, AURs, UPT, discount rate and category performance
Key duties:
Develop online merchandising strategies to deliver financial plans (sales, margin, contribution, inventory turns) by analyzing sales and productivity of items/categories to communicate results and to create action plans.
“Walk the floor” daily and lead site review meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure product sorts and details are optimized and accurate, inclusive of all product detail page assets, navigation and category sorts
Use site metrics data, selling performance and in stock reporting to inform site changes and product/positioning opportunities; flex strategies to achieve sales growth
Report on business performance and site KPIs (e.g. sessions, revenue, conversion, average daily transaction, new customer rates)
Partner with buying, planning and allocation teams to monitor demand planning metrics (inventory, open-to-buy) in order to ensure optimal stock levels to drive conversion
Recommend pricing and promotional actions to limit liabilities related to slow selling product while balancing margin, brand positioning objectives and channel alignment
Partner with digital marketing teams to execute 360 brand moments and brand campaigns; offer feedback on linking strategies and content to elevate site
Influence UX design/development, A/B testing and personalization feature/functionality roadmaps through in-depth knowledge of consumer behavior on site
Monitor external market and develop competitive analysis (product, promotion, trend, execution) to maximize in-season management and influence future global line architecture
