The Applications and Analytics Analyst will play a key role in designing, developing, implementing, and operationalizing information systems. Here are the key points of the role:
Responsibilities:
Work with external vendors, system owners, community partners, contractors, and leadership.
Design, develop, implement, and make operational information systems.
Identify and document information technology design specifications based on analysis/assessment of user needs.
Generate need-gap analyses.
Use expert knowledge to generate and develop system scope and objective.
Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
Devise or modify procedures to solve problems using data processing.
Work independently on complex system activities.
Serve as a subject matter expert in quality and regulatory reporting and how data applies to various reports.
Provide quality assurance on various extracted data as it relates to hospital and outpatient reporting requirements.
Typical Responsibilities:
Analyze and investigate data (collect, compile, organize, and analyze data).
Support quality reporting and provide data/reporting to support operations.
Prepare data analysis in the required format, including tables, charts, and graphs with written summaries, conclusions, and recommendations.
Use pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems.
Collaborate with business partners to review, analyze, and oversee/coordinate applicable reporting and data requests from an operations and regulatory perspective.
Utilize appropriate Cerner and Data Warehousing tools and processes to track regulatory reporting needs.
Investigate non-standard requests and problems.
Work with EMR partner (Cerner) to prepare, forecast, and deploy new regulatory reporting packages and builds.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience or certifications.
Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
3-5 or more years of related experience including system design, documentation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Healthcare experience required.
Cerner experience required.
Quality Reporting experience.
AMS support.
Lighthouse experience.
Knowledge and experience with MIPPS, eCQM, PIP, DA2 LightsOn, HealtheAnalytics, and Population Health.
