MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:High school diploma or GED.
Experience:Two years of payroll processing experience.
Other Credentials:
Knowledge and Skills:Maintains an understanding of payroll laws and regulations. Possesses excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills with an emphasis on customer service. Related payroll certifications preferred.
Special Training:Basic knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Workday experience preferred.
Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities:Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll/employee information. Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Works with multiple departments to verify hours worked, paid time off, deductions, and pay adjustments. Escalates more complex processes to Sr. Payroll Specialist.
- Assists with all aspects of the payroll process.
- Assists with monitoring of time and attendance integration files from vendor into HCM. Escalates and communicates critical issues accordingly.
- Assists with reviewing payroll inputs from various sources to minimize errors. Collects, reviews, calculates, and assures accurate processing of payroll data.
- Coordinates state and federal filings with external third-party vendors Calculates and processes payroll adjustments, such as wage garnishments.
- Assists with providing excellent customer service by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and offering guidance on payroll matters while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Processes and audits employee transactions such as new hires, terminations, employee changes, and other related transactions.
- Maintains an accurate knowledge of CH policies and government regulations regarding payroll.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
