Position Information
Join the award-winning Department of Technology Services (DTS) as a full-time Technology Assets Logistics Specialist. This position is located within the division of Customer Experience on the Asset Management team. The position will provide asset lifecycle and logistics support for procuring, deploying, tracking, recovering, and final disposition of the County’s portfolio of IT assets. Specifically, the Technology Assets Logistics Specialist will assist with tracking procurement requests, securing quotes, receiving inbound assets, and coordinating disposals. This position is full-time, onsite for 40 hours/week.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring and fulfilling requests for asset procurement and disposal;
Receiving and/or verifying and validating hardware assets and maintaining adequate inventory;
Verifying software and software assets against contract terms;
Maintaining organized records per standard procedures; and
Establishing and maintaining documentation concerning asset and configuration management.
Selection Criteria
Minimum:
Completion of the requirements for graduation from a standard senior high school or vocational school, a GED certificate, or the equivalent; and
Some administrative and/or customer service experience.
Desirables: Preference may be given to applicants with experience in one or more of the following:
Providing customer service in a technology environment;
Applying standard procedures to clearly defined problems in a technology environment;
Supporting customers in a Microsoft Teams environment; and/or
Utilizing ServiceNow.
Special Requirements
Working Conditions: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The salary is effective July 1, 2024.

Work hours: This is a full-time, onsite 40 hour/week position during core business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The official title of this position is Staff IT Technician.
