We have an opening for a Concurrent (New Product Introduction or NPI) Engineering manager in our Concurrent Engineering Department. This role will report directly to the Director of Concurrent Engineering. This job is a working manager role, meaning that the candidate will work part of the time as an engineer completing tasks and solving issues, with the balance of time managing personnel and budgets. This role will manage the Concurrent (new product introduction manufacturing) Engineers that support the design for manufacturing and new product introductions into the factory. In addition, the role will also manage the manufacturing engineers that support production. As such, the ideal candidate will have experience as a new production introduction manufacturing engineer.

Responsibilities
Work part of the time as a new product introduction manufacturing engineer completing tasks and solving issues as assigned by the Director of Concurrent Engineering.
Work to ensure manufacturability of designs being designed by TDSI and designs being transferred to TDSI by other entities.
Manage the concurrent (new product introduction into manufacturing) engineers that support the design for manufacturing and new product introductions into the factory.
Manage the manufacturing engineering staff that supports production.
Provides technical and managerial leadership for the Concurrent Engineering Group and the Manufacturing Engineering Production Support Group.
Proactively interfaces with project leads and engineering management in resolving issues, coordinating resources, and managing activities.
Works with department staff to develop and achieve strategic business plan objectives.
Responsible and accountable for hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary process, budgets, schedules, manpower planning, etc. for the department.
Demonstrates support for company values and vision.
Use MES and ERP systems.
Navigate PLM system to find BOMs, AML, ECN, MWIs, guidelines and tests procedures.
Must be able to follow and abide by all company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The principle duty of this position is to provide day-to-day manufacturing supervision, leadership and support to the business, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in accordance with the organization’s operating policies and applicable laws. This will require the incumbent to continually search for opportunities to enhance production processes and the product using a variety of problem solving techniques, effective interpersonal and communication skills, along with technical competency. Incumbent will motivate, coach and encourage employees to optimize career development and personal satisfaction. Team Leader will promote excellent employee relations and empowerment of all manufacturing personnel.
Qualifications

Candidate MUST be U.S. citizen. This role may be selected for work that requires the ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Level Security Clearance.
8+ years as a manufacturing engineer coupled with technical leadership experience – preferred 1 year or more of working in the TDSI manufacturing environment- preferred at least 4 years of experience as a new production introduction engineer.
Education – BSME or BSIE or equivalent experience.
Excellent organizational skills and work ethic.
Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Cognitive skills to perform the above duties.
Able to walk, sit, stand, & work with computers, engineering equipment, and manufacturing equipment up to 8 hours a day in an office, cube, lab and/or manufacturing environments.
Occasionally lift/move equipment between 25 and 50 pounds.
Work with engineering and manufacturing materials and products such as Isopropanol Alcohol, Adhesives, Solder, Fluxes, Epoxies, RTV, plastics, metals, batteries, wires, components, etc.
Able to walk/travel and work in all Clarksburg Campus buildings.
Ability to travel domestically / internationally for up to 20% of the time.
