Within the Department of Clinical Education and Nursing Excellence, the Nursing Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in leveraging data analytics to drive nursing excellence, ensure accreditation compliance, and foster continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbent is tasked with entering, manipulating, analyzing, and reporting on data related to clinical systems, while ensuring alignment with national benchmarks and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include accurate and efficient data entry according to deadlines and standards, facilitating accreditation processes, providing staff mentorship to interpret data, engaging stakeholders, and supporting nursing projects and research aimed at improving patient outcomes and organizational performance. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional statistical proficiency, attention to detail, data processing skills, strong communication, and a dedication to advancing clinical inquiry and innovation in nursing practice.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
Experience in data mining techniques and statistical analysis; experience with healthcare databases (NDNQI and Press Ganey preferred).
Knowledge of statistics and able to communicate effectively with statisticians
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills with strong customer service emphasis
Healthcare background or experience preferred
