As the Manufacturing Product Development Manager within Metem, a GE Vernova Business, which is the global leader for precision cooling hole-manufacturing for the power generation and aerospace industries. You will serve as the focal point for ensuring we deliver the newest products to tackle one of the world’s toughest challenges of providing cleaner, more accessible energy. You will be responsible for interfacing with key internal stakeholders to build robust project schedules ensuring we deliver a quality product on-time and within our established budgets. This will require effectively utilizing your team as well as other engineering resources to develop the manufacturing processes necessary to create the required product features. Additionally, you will help grow the organization by maturing our utilization of lean tools/concepts in the new product development process along with the creation of engineering best practices to generate more streamlined product introductions.
- Leading a team of 5 direct reports and supporting their priorities, career growth, and personal development.
- Owning and continuously improving the Metem New Product Introduction process/programs. Managing project timelines, budgets, and communicating status.
- Ensuring new product introductions drive customer satisfaction, quality, fulfillment, and direct material productivity savings.
- Interfacing with internal and external customers to bring in additional work. Creating estimates and quotes for new work requests.
- Working with the Continuous Improvement team to troubleshoot and optimize non-traditional manufacturing processes.
- Building intimate process knowledge to effectively evaluate and identify areas for improvement. Work with, and lead, cross-functional teams to implement these improvements.
- Utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies drive improvement in the way we do work and in the manufacturing areas.
- Networking with key functions to improve communication and support of on-going NPI programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 5 years manufacturing experience (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in manufacturing.
Eligibility Requirement:
- This is an onsite position and requires travel between the Metem (GE Vernova) sites (Parsippany, NJ and Allentown, PA) on a frequent basis. Must be willing to travel between sites 1-2 days in Allentown and 3-4 days in Parsippany on average. This could vary depending on needs.

Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or other technical degree.
- Demonstrated leadership skills or ability to lead larger projects.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and work with cross functional teams.
- Project/Program Management.
- Experience using MS Project or other project management software.
- Experience with Design Modeling software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, Creo, Mastercam, etc.
- Lean or Six Sigma.
The salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
This position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ?
