Senior Accountant - Washington, DC
This is an in-office position - the candidates must be located in the greater Washington, DC area
Pay: $65,000 - $83,000, commensurate with experience

Due to multiple recent acquisitions and growth, we’re looking to add one detail-oriented Senior Accountant to our accounting team. The successful applicant needs experience in financial reporting, bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation. This position is in DC. New Graduates in DC are welcome.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct regular general ledger account entry activities.
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with the established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, research, and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in audit activities.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
- Lead and participate in special projects and assignments as required.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Job requirements include but are not limited to:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, general ledger reconciliation, and audit processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-company environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
