- Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with OSHA regulations in all job functions. - Follow instructions from Supervisor and Terminal Manager for assigned duties. - Secure and unsecure all metal materials received and shipped in the warehouse. - Block and brace metal products using proper procedures. - Use oil drum sprayer to apply oil to bar stock materials as required. - Cut inbound seals on container doors using bolt cutters. - Remove metal banding from inbound metal materials on Load Roll Pallets (LRP’s) and dispose of it in designated dumpsters. - Loosen and remove chains and nylon straps from LRP’s, storing supplies properly. - Prepare bulkheads for eastbound return and store chains and binders in the assigned LRPC (coil LRP). - Sweep out empty containers to maintain cleanliness. - Immediately notify supervisor of incidents, accidents, damages, claims, and mechanical or material issues. - Keep warehouse floors and facility yard clean and safe at all times. - Wear appropriate safety attire, including steel-toed boots, gloves, long-sleeved shirts, full-length cotton pants, safety glasses, and any other gear assigned by the floor supervisor. - Ensure personal protective equipment is in good repair and worn in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policy. - Perform any other duties and projects as assigned.
