Responsibilities: | The Front of House area at the College of Performing Arts (CoPA) at The New School seeks a highly motivated student to serve as an Usher. The Front of House Department is responsible for the patron experience at on-site events. We are looking for responsible, personable, communicative, and punctual individuals. The usher reports to the Manager of Event Operations and is an ideal position for students interested in a career in performing arts, events, and production.
This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards, as well as student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.

Work Mode: On-Campus Position, nights and weekends required
Hourly Rate: $16
Hours per Week: 20 (maximum)
Responsibilities - Greet patrons and answer questions
- Distribute printed programs to patrons
- Assist patrons in finding their seats
- Check in patrons using our app-based check-in system
- Execute stage changes for classical recitals when assigned
- Additional responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications - Background and education in the performing arts

Preferred Qualifications: | Preferred Qualifications - 2 years usher experience
- 2 years experience in customer service
- Recipient of Federal Work Study award
