Job Description
We're hiring a Sales Manager for a Manufacturing company in the greater El Monte, CA area. Pay ranges and is dependent upon employment at $100-120k base plus commisison.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the staffing, training, and performance management of Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), sales representatives, and Direct Sales personnel.
Develop and refine training materials and curriculum for CSRs.
Establish, develop, distribute, and manage sales territories for CSRs, sales representatives, and Direct Sales personnel.
Maintain key account contacts and assign them to the appropriate personnel.
Assist in developing new key accounts.
Create, prepare, and distribute all sales materials, including sales presentations, brochures, business cards, and website content.
Monitor and enhance the website to optimize customer lead generation.
Develop and optimize contact management in the Plex ERP system to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and results.
Prepare periodic sales reports showing actual sales volume (revenue) and potential sales (backlog).
Collaborate with the sales team to prepare and refine the annual sales forecast for the Board Meeting.
Maintain and update procedures and policies related to the Sales and Customer Service functions.
Represent the company at various customer, supplier, industry, and community meetings to promote and network the company (travel required).
Provide reports on learnings and opportunities post-event.
Engage in team meetings and projects.
Contribute to improvement of activities.
Take part in the internal auditing process as required by the quality management system.
Qualifications:
In-depth understanding of mechanical components and job shop manufacturing.
Experience in highly technical markets such as aerospace, space, defense, nuclear power generation, medical devices, automotive, and others.
Proficient in professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel as required.
Experience in strategic planning and execution.
Familiarity with contract negotiation and change management.
Basic skills in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
Must have a positive attitude, strong oral and written communication skills, and be a team player.
