Job Abstract

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Production Supervisor -2nd Shift. Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to join a stable and reputable manufacturing company of engineered mechanical components. (2nd Shift Hours 2:30pm to 10:30pm)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for overall direction, coordination of department(s) consisting multiple employees.
• Inspects products for conformance.
• Directs setup and adjustments of machines and process equipment.
• Sets/adjusts production schedules.
• Applies and enforces company policies and safety regulations.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems.
• Troubleshoot complicated equipment.
• Inspection and Maintenance familiarity with methods and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associates Degree and minimum 5 years Supervisory experience. Mechanical abilities required. Metal Casting and or extrusion experience a plus. Other skills helpful: MRP/Inventory Control; Lean Manufacturing 5-S; and Quality Control. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
