Ensures the quality of LVN patient care and serves as a role model. Assists staff with escalated issues and reports patients’ status and concerns to management or clinicians as needed.
The LVN Supervisor in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, has the clinical and administrative responsibility for developing and maintaining a high standard of patient care. S/he is responsible for personnel, clinic staffing, materials resource management, maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff, and for daily clinical operations. All components of nursing care will be individualized to meet the patient’s physiological and psychological developmental level and needs. The LVN Supervisor will adhere to the Telephone and House Standards and Management Expectations of the Medical Center.

Graduation from an approved LVN program
CA Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) License
Phlebotomy Certification (CPT)
Clinical knowledge to effectively supervise LVNs and MAs. Skills to manage the complex workflow and multiple priorities involved with a clinic, center or practice
Strong knowledge of LVN and MA patient care standards and care delivery, systems, external regulations, and internal policies
Previous supervisory experience in a clinical setting
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Licensure in relevant patient care support discipline
AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (BLS) certification
