Sodexo Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a highly passionate Training Manager at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center located in Cleveland, Ohio. Among the nation’s leading academic medical centers, UH Cleveland Medical Center has more than 1,000 licensed beds and is located in the heart of Cleveland’s University Circle on a beautiful 35-acre campus.
This position supports Sodexo's mission by providing training for all systems and compliance education with priority training highlighting Service Spirit, CARES, Serv Safe, Allergens and Nutrition, Physical Safety, Customer Service, and Diversity for food services front-line staff working for the hospital. The Training Manager will focus on facilitating training to Sodexo Food and Environmental Services Managers in the Great Lakes Region and support both technical and soft skill training within the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (CMC) for both Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) and Environmental Services (ES) managers. In addition, this role will support community needs, possible recruiting activity, Service Academy support, as well as align extra capacity to either further FNS team development or system support of training needs. Will have a dotted line relationship with the other Sodexo Training managers so the training efforts are coordinated and in sync. This position has a potential to travel throughout the Midwest Region.
The scope of this position includes the oversight of training and staff development for new Food Services and Environmental Services managers at UH CMC and the Great Lakes Region. Trainees may be new in their role, new to Sodexo, or those seeking to be cross trained in a different service line (Food Manager needing to learn Environmental Services or vice-versa). There may be opportunities to collaborate with other Training Managers and help facilitate training for our frontline workers at University Hospitals. This Training Manager will create, develop, and implement Sodexo training programs for approximately six to ten managers per session. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining documentation of the following: new hire onboarding, training records, QA documentation, and Third-Party Satisfaction records.
The successful candidate will:
- collaborate with the GM in organizing and conducting new hire onboarding and employee orientation;
- deliver annual training for existing staff as well as educational programs in connection with management for promotional development;
- maintain records of training activities and the progress of each trainee;
- develop and maintain employee relationships by interacting regularly with departments;
- develop strategic plans;
- create a positive environment; and/or
- ensure Sodexo standards are met.

- Detailed oriented, flexible, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- The ability to engage large and small audiences is desired;
