RRD has an immediate opening for a Facilities Supervisor to join our team in Houston!
Provide facility leadership and support to all areas of the company, production lines and warehouse while also acting as the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead for the facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Facility Lead Duties
Provide through engineering analysis security options in the process and design of new businesses, new products and special projects to recommend the approach to caring for people and to support the required performance.
Expedite the completion of the recommended actions to avoid accidents and incidents, rely on his immediate manager to identify those responsible for the tasks and monitor their compliance.
Maintain the Building in the best condition in terms of its use and preventive and corrective maintenance of lighting, drainage, climate, electricity, painting and general installations.
Must maintain the facilities related to the building, ensuring the correct functioning of the drainage, grease trap, lighting, extraction, electrical and plumbing conditions, walls, doors, and all relevant.
Demonstrate commitment and problem-solving skills in the tasks assigned, with a sense of urgency and belonging, empowering yourself to complete them in a timely manner.
Supervise assigned staff for industrial safety and building maintenance functions.
Ability to train others in industrial safety and building maintenance processes.
Establish and conduct ongoing monitoring of your metrics.
EHS Lead Duties
Provides ongoing leadership, support, & coordination to facility personnel assigned as program owners to ensure proper implementation and maintenance of their assigned EHS programs.
Serves as an EHS Program Champion with responsibility for implementing and sustaining assigned EHS programs.
Works closely with plant management, and Regional EHS Manager to establish, maintain and improve the facility’s EHS programs.
Leads and/or participates in EHS improvement efforts, including:
Change Management (manufacturing process, chemical use, building design, etc)
Assists in the identification, development, and implementation of proactive programs designed to reduce injuries and illnesses.
Ensures completion of required employee environmental, safety and health training.
Assists in the identification and development of budget planning regarding EHS (e.g. projected capital spending, expense budgets, etc)
Develops, manages and ensures accurate monthly EHS injury & program metrics (e.g., OSHA Recordkeeping, Task Tracker, etc.).
Qualifications
4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to use AutoCad, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
The ability to use Microsoft Project and Access is a plus.
The position also requires the ability to apply lean manufacturing principles and tools.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to communicate verbally and electronically with internal and external customers and the use of computer programs.
The employee is occasionally required to move from one location to another. Close vision capability is required for the position to include ability to distinguish colors and the ability to adjust focus.
Additional Information
The national pay range for this role is $52,500 to $93,400 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
