The Opportunity
As an HPQE Lead, the primary focus will be to manage a team of 5 entry level engineers who work with elevated complaint investigations of returned product. The role focuses on workload management of the 5 engineers to support case closure with a focus on the reduction of complaint volumes and backlog.
What You'll Work On
The HPQE Lead’s main priority will be the workload management of his/her team. An example of the challenge this role will face will be ensuring the right engineers are assigned the right types of cases depending on their training, expertise, and current workloads. This can be accomplished by assessing training status of the team, reviewing work experience, and using some kind of workload tracking system such as excel, OneNote or other means to manage and review assignments amongst their staff.
This role will have authority to assign and manage case workloads amongst the direct reports and hold the team accountable for completing complaint investigations in a compliant and timely manner.
This role is one of the two new supervisor roles planned for the HPQE team. This supervisor’s primary purpose will be to manage the workload of entry-level engineers performing complaint investigations of field-returned FreeStyle Libre sensors and readers and any future product releases.
1. Establish effective team oversight with metrics and support case closure.
2. Manage workload assignments of direct reports
3. Review the work output of direct reports to ensure quality analysis is being performed and documentation is held to the highest standard.
4. Review incoming and backlog complaint records and develop plans to help reduce these volumes.
Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Years of experience, both overall and any industry-specific experience needed: 6
Quality Assurance and healthcare industry technical disciplines preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 4 years Overall quality experience in an FDA/ISO regulated environment.
Experience performing product failure analysis.
Engineering background to support technical investigations.
Substantial demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical thinking skills
Experience in leading & managing people.
