The Programmer Analyst IIis responsible for the analysis and development of software enhancements and solutions to problems submitted by users and will define and construct databases and software to meet users requirements. They assist end users in the use of new and modified programs. Additionally, they assist other programmers with their design and implementations. They develop programming applications for the credit union core system, Symitar Episys, related systems using Java and MS Visual Studio .net languages, as appropriate.
Responsibilities
•
Controls the integrity of all data files.
•
Develops program solutions utilizing the Symitar Episys PowerOn proprietary language, Java, and/or Microsoft .net languages.
•
Develops computer programs to enhance efficient use of Credit Union systems, maintains member and other data, and produces requested reports for the Credit Union.
•
Develops and maintains documentation to provide clear understanding of the purpose and operational procedures of the program.
•
Identifies data processing exceptions and notifies appropriate personnel.
•
Maintains current knowledge of computer technology and makes recommendations for consideration of new technology to management.
•
Proposes potential programming solutions to other developers or management and coordinates implementations with them and other IT departments and management.
•
Provides information for the development of formal or informal end-user training.
•
Provides technical support to IT staff and system users to resolve operational problems quickly and with minimal interruption to service.
•
Responsible for providing the highest level of quality service to both members and co workers.

Education

Education Level: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
Description: Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field preferred.

Comments: Must have recent and relevant experience programming in a financial institution environment or business computing.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
•
Programming in Java and/or C# .net, and related developer environments
•
Data-base design
•
Programming in 3rd generation computer languages
•
Programming using SQL Server data, and report generation
•
PC operation and software including MS Office components
•
Must have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Must be able to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality of that information.

Must have excellent oral & written communication skills.
