Texas A&M University's Technology Services is actively seeking a mid-level AV Support Specialist to join our team to support our Health Science Centers buildings in Houston, Texas.
As an AV Support Specialist II, you’ll be behind the scenes, ensuring classrooms teleconferencing systems are running smoothly for our faculty. You’ll also oversee the training and mentoring of our student technicians, empowering them to provide tier I AV technical support. When more complex issues arise, that’s when you’ll step in, to utilize your problem solving and technical skills to provide the tier II support.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Install, modify, and repair video teleconference systems
Perform video conferencing technical support and troubleshooting
Verify satellite downlinks and transmissions between conference sites
Maintain documentation
Train student technicians to provide tier I support
Participate in AV training and professional development activities as approved by IT Leadership

Salary: $45,000 – $49,500 annually
This position is expected to be onsite in Houston,Texas.
Qualifications??????
A bachelor's or equivalent combination of education and experience AND three years of related experience in User IT Consulting ?
A well-qualified candidate would also possess one or more of the following: Two to three years of audio-visual installation experience working with AMX or Crestron or equivalent Control systems, Knowledge of Audio Visual (AV) and IT networking infrastructure, knowledge of construction process workflow, customer support and/or higher education experience.
