IFC’s Human Resources (HR) Department is a strategic partner
to the business in developing and implementing workforce strategies and meeting
organizational goals, including attracting, developing, and deploying diverse
and skilled talent. IFC HR is comprised of the following five functions:
• Client Services - offers strategic HR partnership, program implementation, support, and global solutions to staff and management through our HR Business Partner network.
• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - supports the organization in building a diverse workforce, embracing equity, and fostering an inclusive workplace.
• Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness?- elevates employee experience and effectiveness through digital HR solutions, policy enhancements, organizational design, and workforce planning.?
• Global Talent Acquisition and Mobility Services - facilitates the end-to-end recruitment process in partnership with hiring managers and attracts candidates with desired skills to join IFC. Supports candidates and staff who are relocating internationally (coming in FY25).
• Talent Development and Incentives -?designs a skills-based talent management approach encompassing best practice HR solutions in onboarding, mentoring, career management, mobility, performance/talent management, incentives and awards, and leadership development.
IFC Talent Development & Incentives team is seeking an
HR Officer (ETC) to support the team in planning, coordinating, quality
controlling and getting organized for key HR priorities and deliverables. The
HR Officer (ETC) position will be located in Washington, DC, and will report to
Manager, Talent Development & Incentives.
Duties and Accountabilities:
Governance structures
• Help assess, plan, design and implement key governance and management structures and process flows for the Talent Development & Incentives team in support of the new HR Operating Model.
• Understand and ensure alignment with all relevant IFC HR, IFC, World Bank, and other stakeholder policies, practices and teams
Delivery and project coordination
• Coordinate Talent Development & Incentives team deliverables, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery excellence, in alignment with the other relevant HR teams
• Create dashboards, track the status of key deliverable milestones and metrics, and provide updates
• Introduce project management and continuous improvement approaches to the team
• Lead assigned projects and initiatives and work closely with colleagues across the function and in other parts of the department.
• Manage team meetings agenda, decisions/actions tracker and follow-up
• Ensure continued reporting on Talent Development & Incentives -owned initiatives in alignment with the rest of HR Analytics and Reporting
Continuous improvement and quality control
• Identify continuously areas for improvement and develop new process flows, practices, templates etc. to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Establish quality control standards, metrics and methods across Talent Development & Incentives team and for different types of deliverables.
External Insight & Knowledge Management
• Help team establish practices for external professional insight to inspire share best practices for program design and implementation
• Proactively identify knowledge management needs within the Talent Development & Incentives team, and establish a strategy, concrete technical solutions, and implementation plan to address them, in alignment with the departmental Knowledge Management approach.
• Train and educate team members on governance processes, knowledge management practices, and effective communication strategies.
• Keep track of and provide periodic status reports on all ongoing deliverables, process and governance work.
Other
• Contribute to other assignments as assigned.
Help introduce a Change Management approach applicable to the team’s needs
Selection Criteria
• Master’s degree with at least 5 years’ experience in a project management or process development/coordination role, preferably in Human Resources function of a large, global organization.?
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant project management certification is desirable, as well as experience or familiarity with project management methodologies
• Proven track record of planning, executing, controlling, and closing cross functional projects and other deliverables, and the ability to manage a project and its components simultaneously.
• Demonstrable experience in knowledge management and sharing, including e-platforms and designing systems for organisations.
• Strong understanding of relevant core Human Resources areas (i.e., Talent Development, Total rewards, HR Policies, Talent Acquisition, Talent Deployment and HR Business partnering function).
• Proficiency in all HR Systems and Microsoft Windows applications, especially a proficient use of Excel, Word and Power Point, including advanced spreadsheet design, lookup tables, and manipulation.
• Good understanding of new and emerging technological enablers to ensure process efficiency advancement.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical and reporting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to different stakeholders directly or through reports and presentations, and identify and resolve challenges on the go.
• Strong people and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage the team and other stakeholders to the way of operating and expected outcomes.
• Strong quality control orientation; attention to detail.
• Self-starter with a strong drive and result orientation, with a positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and dynamic work environment with multiple and shifting work priorities, timelines and demands.
• Pro-active and agile approach to work and willingness to learn.
• Track record of high level of integrity, tact and discretion.
