The Master Electrician is responsible for the installation and repair of electrical systems, testing, troubleshooting, and replacement of electrical components to ensure systems function safely and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs all electrical trade functions necessary to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair lighting and electrical systems safely and within the guidelines of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Maintain professionalism when interacting with peer and supervisory employees, and customer representatives.
- Must be well versed in the use of many and varied types of test equipment such as voltmeters, amprobes, meggers, etc., and must possess outstanding eye-hand coordination.
- Inspects completed work for conformance to standards.
- Sourcing or fabricating replacement electrical components.
- Possess excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
- Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Updating project records and preparing relevant documents and reports for clients.
- Liaising with clients, vendors, and suppliers.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Other work-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS – EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Must have a minimum of six (6) years’ experience working in the Commercial Facilities/ Operation and Maintenance Arena.
- A Master Electrical License is required.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance.
- Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance preferred.
- Maximo CMMS Experience a plus, but not required.
- Microsoft Computer skills (Office, Word, Outlook etc.) a plus but not required.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Thorough knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC systems and equipment in the building.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around the building site; see, hear and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Performance of essential and ancillary functions requires maintenance of physical conditioning adequate for sitting, walking or standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching, squatting, stretching, bending for prolonged periods of time; at time lift and carry up to as much as 60 pounds, near visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech with background noise.
In performing the required work, it is required to have the ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, do a lot of walking, use every kind of hand tool, work in hazardous positions, carry heavy tools.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:
A satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTI are required. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Top-Secret level.
