Process Medicaid correspondence sent through the US Postal Service, fax or designated Medicaid email boxes.
Scan and associate metadata, and accept into the Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS).
Uploading appeals documentation received and associating with client’s case in LaMEDS.
Enter descriptive case notes into the EDMS based on documentation received.
May notify Medicaid Analysts and CAU staff of actions which need to be taken.
Communicate issues and pertinent information to supervisor as necessary through written and verbal communication.
Will receive email communication documenting case information and will utilize information to update the Master Chart.
May be called upon to attend DAL Hearings and complete untimely appeal packets
Clear the Weekly DAL Docket
Communicate directly with DAL to clear issues on docketed appeals
Other tasks as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree, or an Associate's degree plus 3 years of professional experience, or 6 years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
Minimum 1 year professional experience performing administrative functions within an office environment or health care field.
Excellent analytical skills, and effective time management skills.
Great attention to detail and follow up.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Team and goal oriented.
DESIRED:
Minimum 2 years of professional experience performing administrative functions within an office environment or health care field.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with an administrative appeals process.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience utilizing SharePoint in daily job functions.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience utilizing the LaMEDS system.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in bookkeeping, health care field, or Medicaid program support.
