The Opportunity
As a Senior Equity Associate within the Equity Capability, you will help to operationalize and execute maternal and child health projects and new opportunities centered in equity. You will implement culturally responsive and equitable approaches to monitoring, evaluation, research, learning and adapting, as well as human-centered, intersectional approaches to technical assistance; and will lead your work in a manner that models and reinforces equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility and that elevates Abt’s vision, mission, values, culture, and strategic priorities. You will oversee interdisciplinary teams focused on both analytics and technical assistance related to maternal and child health and will also be responsible for supporting the development of new business in the maternal and child health arena. This will include developing client relationships and leading capture and proposal efforts across multiple federal agencies, particularly CMS, HRSA, and AHRQ.
Core Responsibilities
Leading implementation of large projects within healthcare portfolio with limited oversight
Applying advanced research and adult learning principles, theories, and concepts
Contributing to development of new principles and concepts;
Working on unusually complex public health issues and providing solutions which are highly innovative
Coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
Developing and implementing new products, processes, standards, or operational plans that will have an impact on the achievement of functional results.
Communicating with leadership
Reporting to the Senior Director of Equity for Technical Delivery
Actively collaborating with leadership and supporting high-quality solution development and people management.
Managing people – serving as a direct supervisor for early- to mid-career staff.
Serving as a spokesperson on company’s technical capabilities and future directions. Often instrumental in attracting and obtaining major new company business.
Developing new and maintaining existing relationships with clients.
What We Value
Bachelors + 12, Masters + 10, PHD + 8; coaching certification preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to human centered, equity led approaches to supervision, project delivery, and business development for key HHS clients in the healthcare portfolio (e.g., CMS, HRSA, AHRQ).
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams of diverse identities and experiences in the execution of complex projects and oversight of administrative and budgetary components of the work and a strong track record for high-quality project execution, business development, and financial management.
Experience researching and delivering technical assistance in the maternal and child health space in a consulting or government environment.
Experience with Medicaid and value-based payment and care models.
Strong track record for collaboration and demonstrated ability to work across diverse clients and teams.
Proven skills in engaging in liberated gatekeeping and power sharing with individuals with lived experiences and lived expertise
Hands on experience with full business development life cycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, capture, and bid development
Superb problem-solving skills, and often acts independently to uncover and resolve issues with an awareness of when to escalate as needed.

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $139, 021.29 to $222,434.06 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
