Job Summary
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The position of Program Development Specialist (PDS), Early Education Programs, is responsible for providing monitoring, technical assistance and training for multiple child development programs/sites within the Early Education Program unit. This is designated as a certificated management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team. This is a categorically funded position.
Requirements / Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in a child development program or other childhood education program, or related field which would demonstrate exposure and utilization of required skills, knowledge, and abilities in performing job related duties and responsibilities.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in childhood development or closely related field is required. Master’s degree desirable.
CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES:
• Possession of a current California Child Development Program Director Permit (refer to Commission on Teacher Credentialing for information)
• Valid California Driver’s License
