As a Project Manager, you will leverage your experience, technical expertise, contacts and cooperative communications skills to support coordination with Service, SecDef, Congressional and Presidential staffs, committees and working groups. You will play a vital role in shepherding key programs, collaborating with other Service, JCS or SECDEF project managers, resolving budget or technical issues, and delivering successful program results to DoD CIO NLCC within the scope, schedule, and budget of the program. In time, you will be recognized as a trusted advisor and leader to contract personnel, working groups, stakeholders and senior government leadership.

What You’ll Get to Do:
- Serve as a Staff Officer in the Office of the DoD CIO, NLCC in the Pentagon.
- Provide project Planning, Implementation and Oversight: Plan, manage and oversee project execution, ensuring milestones are met and projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Provide Technical Leadership and, in coordination with involved staffs and senior leaders, track technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk assessments, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Client Engagement: Act as a primary spokesperson and consultant to government and contract personnel on assigned programs. Additionally, provide management leadership, expert insights and recommendations to advance the project. Provide up-to-date feedback to DoD senior leadership.
- Represent NLCC in Program Analyses: Collaborate and coordinate with DoD stakeholder meetings on in-depth analyses at all levels of the total system: requirements, concepts, hardware/software, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, deployment, service life upgrades and extensions, and eventual disposal.
- Site Surveys and Assessments: In coordination with government and contractor stakeholders, conduct site surveys, system evaluations, system analyses, architecture assessments, and infrastructure evaluations.
- Provide Mission Assurance through Critical Decision, Function, System and Facility Support
- Innovation: As needed identify advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts to advance project objectives.
- Solution Development: Assist in the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into total systems solutions that address technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Problem Solving: Independently resolve complex issues associated with developing and implementing operational programs.
- Strategic Planning: Plan and recommend Research and Development (R&D) programs and technological application initiatives to achieve long-range objectives.
- Use interpersonal skills and prior staff experience to help control and guide a group of highly qualified Subject Matter Experts to complete assigned tasks on time following established guidelines.
- Use your strong writing skills to provide project reports, and briefings.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI required.
- Master's degree (MA/MS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline and a minimum of 12 years of experience in a relevant field, showcasing exceptional expertise, or a BS/BA with 16 years of experience.
- Proven Project Manager experience to handle multi million dollar programs.
- Self motivated hard charger that is comfortable with rapidly evolving changes in a highly visible dynamic environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a strong emphasis on ingenuity and creativity.
- Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to serve as a customer-facing expert.
- Technical expertise and skills with office products (word, excel, teams etc).

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Experience with evaluating systems, requirements, documents, and projects regarding Federal cybersecurity requirements and Federal Information Security Modernization Act controls.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Reputation as an energetic and accomplished Service / Staff “Action Officer."
- Strong working knowledge of pentagon processes and offices.
- Knowledge of DOD (services, components, COCOMs, etc.) and the various players that are stakeholders in the Senior leader communications mission domains.
