Position Summary: The DCCC is hiring multiple Regional Analytics Strategists for the 2024 election cycle. The Regional Analytics Strategist will work with the Analytics Programs Director and team, as well as the regional teams, to advise congressional campaigns in their region on their strategic roadmap. In doing so, they will help maximize the effectiveness of their voter outreach strategies based on rigorous statistical analysis of past election results, voter file data, polling, microtargeting models, and other analytics tools. Regional Analytics Strategists will serve a vital role in ensuring that data is an essential component of the decision-making of the DCCC and congressional campaigns.
This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting quality control on analytical reports outlining strategic roadmaps in targeted Congressional races by navigating dashboards, executing queries, and examining primary data sources
- Managing documentation on data that tracks progress on strategic roadmaps, including polls, qualitative research, campaign spending, and early voting trends
- Exploring voter databases, probabilistic models, and messaging research to inform and review targeting for voter outreach
- Drawing from diverse background to inform and enrichen analytical work
- Scoping out and executing innovative projects that will improve and streamline the DCCC’s analytics work
- Reinforcing regional analytics priorities
- Completing other duties as needed
- Strong desire to gain experience in SQL, Tableau, targeting, polling, and/or statistics in the context of campaigns
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment required
- Exposure to voter file platforms (eg. VAN, Catalist, PDI) preferred, but not required
- Experience using Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite
