As an Accounts Payable Specialist Lead, you will lead an assigned team of exceptional caregivers in daily operations of accounts payable. You will also be responsible for paying, processing and resolving problems with requests for goods and services used by Cleveland Clinic.

Job Details
The ideal candidate must have Accounts Payable experience including processing invoices, invoice match exception handling, statement review, and payment runs. Accounts Receivable and office experience, will be considered, but cannot take place of the Accounts Payable experience. Must have at least 3 years Accounts Payable experience, proficient using a large ERP system, and proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Additionally, training and supervisory experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Leads assigned team in daily operations of AP.
- Assists with workload distribution, supports team members with problem resolution and trains and mentors team members.
- Facilitates payment runs and administers voids and stop payments.
- Performs FTP imports to payables system.
- Assists with issues related to supplier credit holds in coordination with Supply Chain Management and department contacts.
- Monitors and facilitates invoice exception management in coordination with match exception reports.
- Trains and mentors new and existing employees to ensure key job duties are completed appropriately.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED.
Certifications:

- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or comparable position.
- Associate's Degree in Finance or related field may offset some experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
- In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
- In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
