Overview
The Counter UAS (C-UAS) Threat Assessment Systems Analyst supports the Partner Engagement Division, Global Integration Department (GI), Operations Integration Directorate, Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) by enabling and facilitating interagency groups, activities, and support to achieve DTRA counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and counter improvised threat operations, activities, and investments (OAIs). The position coordinates and plans with international partners to facilitate and enable enhanced combined force effectiveness in countering WMDs, emerging threats, and threat networks.
Responsibilities
This position supports work with designated partner nations to share the DTRA developed Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) threat assessment methodology which requires understanding of operational and trend analyses. The selected employee will be required to travel to and work with designated foreign partners to share DTRA’s methodology for developing UAS threat assessments. Based on their expertise, they will help develop and execute a program of instruction with the partner nation. Specifically, they will:
Share with designated partner nations the latest methodologies to exploit gathered data from counter small UAS (C-sUAS) systems.
Share with designated partner nations current and new methodologies concerning the flow of C-sUAS system data from outside sources to internal servers/databases (Cloud/ Structured Query Language (SQL)).
Share with designated partner nations new insights resulting from C-sUAS systems data analysis.
Qualifications
Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of eight (8) years of Department of Defense or Department of State experience.
Demonstrates an ability to explore and exploit new insights resulting from C-sUAS system data.
Demonstrates an understating of normalization processes for C-sUAS system data sets.
Demonstrates an ability to automate C-sUAS system data sets using a variety of scripting languages.
Demonstrates proficiency in Database Management Systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Visual Basic for Application (VBA), Microsoft Power BI, Python programing language, and SQL.
Teaching or training experience, especially with international audiences.
Experience developing a Program of Instruction/curriculum.
Clearance:This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.
