As an AP Specialist, you will support the North America accounting team, reporting to the Finance Administrative Supervisor. This position will focus on daily vendor invoice processing, weekly payment batches, and weekly statement reconciliations. We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist with thorough accounts payable knowledge and with an affinity for a challenging environment within a fast-growing company.
What you’ll do:
- Controls expenses by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices to applicable purchase order and receiving documents
- Resolve invoice, purchase order and receiving document discrepancies with purchaser or procurement department as needed
- Charges expenses to appropriate cost centers and accounts by analyzing invoices and coding to appropriate accounts.
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries timely
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Maintains historical records by electronically filing documents
- Assist with Corporate 1099’s at year-end
- Provide certificates of insurance and W-9’s to vendors
- Assist in streamlining the accounts payables process
What you'll need:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or the equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable Department.
- In office 60% of time (3 days a week)
- No immigration sponsorship available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical ability and aptitude, and ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
