Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Sales Optimization Manager to contribute to our Lightning Source (LS) Content Acquisitions team in our New York office.
In this role, you will provide operational management and excellence of downstream title display, salability, and discoverability for the Ingram Exclusive Content catalog, supporting publisher services and curation projects. You will focus on opportunities to increase the discoverability of publisher content surfaced by our catalog continuity efforts. You’ll be expected to partner across the Ingram organization, including Ingram Product, Ingram Digital Services, IT, and others to solve visibility issues in the catalog. You’ll also partner with the Sr. Manager IngramSpark Distribution to interpret catalog health and continuity reporting to identify opportunities for improving the visibility of our catalog in global markets. Additionally, you will work with different business owners across the company to ensure the accuracy, persistence, and optimization of the Lightning Source (LS) Catalog within Ingram Book Company outbound feeds.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or directly related year for year experience.
- 3 years online merchandising, marketing or related experience
- 2 years business or data analysis experience
- 2 years’ experience working with formal Reporting Tools/Platforms (examples: SQL, Qlik, Excel, Quickbase, SalesForce, etc.)
- 1 year intermediate to advanced experience using Excel for data manipulation, charts/graphs, pivot tables and V lookups
Preferred Skills:
- Book industry experience
- Understanding of metadata (especially related print & digital books)
- Project Management skills
- Experience with web scraping
- Ability to use report writing analytical tools.
- Ability to use data visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SalesForce, or Qlik preferred)
- Ability to identify and extract raw data from primary transactions systems such as databases.
- Ability to manage, transform and integrate with other datasets, in preparation for analytics.
- Ability to create impactful presentations to explain recommendations and findings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and reports on how products are displayed, sold, and merchandised from varied perspectives, i.e., retail channel, pricing market, publisher segment, etc.
- Partners with peers across the organization to create improvements in internal data communication.
- Develops a keen understanding of the different retailer personas selling books online today, including their target audiences and preferred content types.
- Develops and maintains an understanding of internal data feeds and assists with data improvements.
- Develops and maintains catalog health KPIs by assessing display, salability & discoverability of the Ingram Exclusive Content catalog across key consumer direct fulfillment channels such as Amazon, B&N, Books-a-million, Thrfitbooks & more.
- Collaborates with global counterparts to implement global data solutions for downstream visibility and ease of retail experience.
Hiring Salary Range: $62,390k - $89,430k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
