Summary: The Recruiter is responsible for driving recruitment activities within our Glendale NY station and occasionally assisting other East Coast locations, ensuring we meet our growing talent needs. This role involves detailed manpower planning, innovative sourcing strategies, and thorough candidate evaluations to maintain a fully staffed, high-performing team.
Major Accountabilities:
Manpower Planning: Ensure all positions are fully staffed through detailed manpower and succession planning for managers.
Innovative Sourcing: Manage job postings and explore new, creative avenues to reach potential candidates.
Initial Screening: Conduct initial telephone screenings to discuss positions, verify interest, and ensure candidates meet budget parameters.
Building Applicant Sources: Research and contact community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; provide information about the organization, opportunities, and benefits; make presentations and maintain rapport.
Attracting Applicants: Place job advertisements, contact recruiters, and utilize newsgroups and job sites to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
Applicant Evaluation: Discuss job requirements and qualifications with managers; conduct interviews based on consistent qualifications.
Reporting: Complete timely reporting on recruitment activity to ensure transparency and efficiency.

Education and Experience:
Associates Degree and four years of staffing/recruitment experience, or
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and two years of staffing/recruitment experience.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak clearly and positively on the phone, over email, and in person.
Strong organizational and planning abilities.
Focused and able to handle multiple job applications and requisitions daily.
Other:
Proven experience in recruitment, ideally in a high-demand environment.
