Responsibilities:
Ability to unload product f... more detailsrom trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas Transporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions Constantly bending and twisting while loading and unloading product and retrieving items from the trailer Ability to verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures. Contact management for authorization when there are discrepancies on invoice and communicate all errors/returns Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities following the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Sysco policies Pickup, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork Complete DOT logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports, and reconcile with appropriate company representative as required Ability to deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows. Immediately inform the management team of any deviations
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age Must obtain a valid CDL Permit and DOT medical certification prior to pre-employment background check- Must submit to and pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check) Must obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within ninety (90) days of start date to remain actively employed Must have one year Distribution/ Warehouse experience or other military experience in lieu of- CDL permit and DOT medical certification may be obtained during Skill.
