Job Description:
In this role, you will be part of our Scheduling and Material Planning organization which works across the whole company and plays a key role from proposal to product delivery. We are looking for a highly analytical, self-motivated, and organized individual. A successful candidate for this position will have a strong background in MRP/ERP (SAP, Oracle). Is able to determine bottlenecks, constraints, and resource issues through the use of ERP and other tools. Is familiar with BOM structure in a production and new product introduction environment.
Essential Functions:
- Tracks components to support manufacturing schedule using internal ERP system (Oracle) to maintain program schedules. When product is held up in Receiving Inspection, works with the team members to get these materials released to the manufacturing floor. Reports issues to supervision for further escalation of the issues.
- Tracks finished parts through the assembly and shop areas for final shipment to our customer. If schedule is impacted, works with the team to develop a plan to get back on track. Works any issue necessary to make weekly shipment of product, report delays in a timely manner.
- Identifies and communicates concerns and issues potential to scheduling impacts. Works with the team to develop a solution to minimize the impact. Relays information to team members and management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior planning experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior planning experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior planning experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of SAP ERP system, Oracle MRP system, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Comfortable in a constantly changing environment and able to shift plans and priorities daily to meet mid and long-term objectives.
- Strong communication, organization, logistical and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong decision making skills.
- Previous MRP experience is preferred.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills is preferred.
- Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct activities for the organization.
- Familiarity/experience with inventory management principles is preferred.
