Network Engineer - Amphibious Ship C4
Responsibilities include:
Solid and practical understanding of Cisco Routing & Switching to include: Fundamentals of routing and switching, Routing Protocols, Access Control Lists, VLANs, VLAN Trunking, Subnetting, 802.1X NAC, and Secure Group Tagging
Conducting network assessments on Navy L-Class ships to validate Marine Corps specific baseline network resources on the shipboard network and conduct familiarization of the network for embarking Marine units
Provide onboard and remote technical support to Marine network administrators aboard Navy L-Class ships
Troubleshooting and resolving network traffic-flow issues over complex, multi node, tactical WAN/LAN environments
Configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Directory, and DNS.
Configuring and troubleshooting vCenter and vSAN
Experience troubleshooting the implementation of HBSS, ACAS, PKI Repeater/Responders, and other USMC tactical applications.
Create, modify, and troubleshoot firewall rules and configurations.
Knowledge of tactical radio and SATCOM connections to shipboard WAN/LAN
Participate in team development of USMC Network Guide Series to assist embarking Marines with integration of enterprise services and C2 systems on the shipboard network
Provide subject matter expertise to working groups to convey USMC technical requirements to Navy and USMC stakeholders evaluating and preparing shipboard networks to ensure WAN/LAN systems are prepared for embarking Marine Forces.
Implement planned USMC network testing events conducted in Navy network laboratories and document
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Qualifications:
Fundamental knowledge of Navy shipboard networks
Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance
Experience operating in deployed environments
4+ years practical experience supporting USMC or DoD network systems/projects
Possess DoD 8570.01M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification
Ability to travel 15% of time annually to work on-site, in naval shipboard environments
Experience providing network administration and technical support to customers
US Citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $87,020 - $117,734. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
