Responsibilities: | The Gig Office at the College of Performing Arts seeks highly motivated student musicians–of any musical genre–to serve as a Gig Performer, Senior Student Assistant Specialist. We’re looking for energetic, creative, and responsible individuals to support initiatives within the College of Performing Arts Gig Office. This position reports to the Program & Administration Manager, School of Jazz & Contemporary Music and is an ideal position for students who are interested in a career as a working musician.

Work Mode: Either On-Campus or Off-Campus, based on the gig location.
Hourly Rate: $20-$100, based on gig.
Hours per Week: As needed
Responsibilities: - Provide instrumental and/or vocal performance services for public or private events;
- Analyze assigned music prior to rehearsal and performances (e.g., correct tempos, challenging transitions, dynamics) to ensure efficient use of rehearsal time;
- Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with internal and external parties;
- Respond to inquiries from students or staff in a timely manner regarding performance opportunities; and
- Adhere to departmental guidelines regarding reporting hours, payroll deadlines, and other items.

Minimum Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: - Enrolled in a degree program at the College of Performing Arts, or ability to provide evidence of advanced musicianship.
