Supports the strategic procurement of goods and services by: monitoring the internal and external environment for trends and practices that can inform standard and nonstandard strategic opportunities; and performing standard and nonstandard market and sourcing analyses to optimize sourcing strategy, supplier selection, and procurement implementation, independently with limited direction.
Contributes to the sourcing strategy definition by: supporting standard and nonstandard category profiles, savings plans, targets, and forecasts; and executing standard and nonstandard sourcing, communication, and governance processes.
Contributes to the creation of the sourcing strategy by: evaluating options and products/services to develop standard and nonstandard sourcing plans; collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to exchange and interpret information to incorporate input and socialize standard and nonstandard category sourcing strategies/plans; and reporting the results of strategic analyses to inform sourcing strategy creation.
Contributes to the implementation of sourcing strategy by: developing and executing requests for proposals and standard bidding documents to generate options; performing standard and nonstandard proposal analyses to inform supplier selection; negotiating standard pricing and contract terms (e.g., delivery, quality, performance) with suppliers, and escalating negotiations when necessary, for products and services to ensure KP receives the best value for dollars spent; assisting in drafting and modification of new business terms in contract documents; analyzing standard and nonstandard options to determine contract awards and socializing recommendations with internal and external stakeholders; and executing implementation plans for sourcing strategy.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum one (1) year of experience in healthcare or another heavily regulated industry (e.g., Banking).
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Material Management, Economics, or related field AND Minimum two (2) years of experience in purchasing, contracting, material management, finance or a directly related field, OR Minimum six (6) years of experience in purchasing, contracting, material management, finance or a directly related field.
