Overview The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for controlling, managing, and monitoring product inventory across all warehouses within the company to support the ePlus mission and provide the best possible experience for our customers. The Inventory Control Manager supervises a team which are local and remote, and works closely with other Operations teams, Sales leadership, and other departments to ensure the accurate reporting and safeguarding of assets. ePlus prides itself in its customer-intimate approach. YOUR IMPACT The essential functions of this position include: Leadership: Become Supply Chain subject matter expert and leader in Inventory Management. Oversee, train, assist and develop the Inventory Control staff some of which are remote, ensuring they follow all defined processes, policies and procedures. Ensure department is meeting or exceeding defined quality, accuracy, and performance metrics. Identify, prioritize, and champion opportunities for continuous improvements to support improved quality, growth and performance efficiencies over time. Implement lean inventory principles and just-in-time (JIT) concepts where possible. Ensure procedures and process documentation are kept up-to-date. Lead by example by following and promoting all safety, regulatory, and compliance policies and procedures. Envision and plan for the development of the Inventory Control function as the company grows and evolves. Inventory Management: Work with appropriate individuals, sites, and teams to document & maintain SOPs for processes like inventory adjustments, purchase returns, transfer orders, receiving process, sales returns, etc. Coordinate with various departments across the enterprise to optimize stock levels and order quantities. Coordinate cycle counts, physical inventory counts and audits at ePlus sites and any 3PL locations. Coordinate identification and resolution of obsolete inventory. Take ownership of inventory accuracy by site/item, report on item adjustments by type, location, reason code and resolve discrepancies on a daily inventory reconciliation report. Work with the Finance Team and assist with item management, setup, and toll gate process as well as discontinuations, changes, life cycle management working closely with Planning, IT, and Sales to understand and document all fields being used, for what, and any related dependencies (such as internals). Inventory Reconciliation: Lead the Supply Chain side of the annual physical inventory count at all ePlus and 3rd party locations. Review and improve 3PL inventory reporting processes, as well as perform all event and 3rd party location inventory reconciliations on a monthly basis. Regularly audit physical inventory counts against system records to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies within defined SLAs. Report inventory numbers and reconciled inventory at various stages each month. Forecasting and Demand Planning: Collaborate with Sales and Procurement to determine and validate inventory needs and ensure appropriate stock availability. Play a key role in data analysis for the S&OP process and perform other ad-hoc related projects and key analytics. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements related to inventory. Manage and communicate Sarbanes-Oxley internal control documents as they relate to inventory and the warehouse facilities. Ensure compliance with ISO9001 requirements. Maintain inventory balances with the goal of understanding and mitigating risks within the Supply Chain such as managing FIFO, serialization, or lot tracking as required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with a Warehouse Management System (preferably Koerber). Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in supply chain management, business, or a related field. Minimum 7 years’ experience as Inventory Control Manager or equivalent. Certification in Planning and/or Inventory Control and Management is preferred (e.g. CPIM, CSCP). Experience managing $150M of inventory. Experience in build /configure /ship-to-order environments with hardware and IT Services. Experience managing multiple global facilities. Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management best practices, industry standards and compliance. Leverage data analysis to drive decision-making. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Power BI and Power Query expertise is a plus. Critical thinking to question requests from Sales and customers to understand what’s in the best interests of all parties. Ability to prioritize, multi-task and be flexible to customer needs. Ability to lead the organization through changes with a positive attitude – a team player with a “can do” attitude. Expertise and extensive experience using Microsoft Office suite of products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention-to-detail. POSITION SPECIFICS The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $100,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
