Posting Summary	Rutgers is seeking a Student Assistant for the Urban-Global Public Health Department within the School of Public Health, located in Newark, NJ. The Student Assistant, under the supervision of the Program Director, will provide assistance for the Nurture New Jersey Evaluation project funded by the New Jersey Department of Human Services. The student will work with professionals from multiple sectors on the indirect effects of Nurture New Jersey, crafting a model of New Jersey’s trajectory on maternal health with and without the initiative, and assessing the expansion of midwifery training as well as other components that may be added at the request of the funder. Duties include: Supports research activities. Conducts literature reviews and other research reviews. Creates presentation materials. Assists with recruitment and consenting for research projects. Assists with the editing and preparation of manuscripts, publications, reports and presentations. Prepares materials for submission of grant application

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities	Must be a current Rutgers student. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. High proficiency with Power Point and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications	A student currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program, in public health is preferred. Experience with or completion of qualitative research methods course preferred.
