Job Abstract

The Assistant Nurse Manager, Med Surg/Telemetry unit supports the Nurse Manager in the daily operational management of the unit. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. The Assistant Nurse Manager will assist with administrative duties, provide clinical leadership, and mentor nursing staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

This 275+ bed facility is located on the south shores of Long Island and offers a wide variety of services to residents in the Long Island communities. The hospital is noted for its excellence in several areas including stroke, lung cancer and cardiac care services.

The Assistant Nurse Manager, Med Surg/Telemetry will provide mentorship, guidance and training to nursing staff to promote professional growth and development. In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, assist in recruitment, training and evaluation of staff. This leader will ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and best practices while monitoring and improving patient care quality indicators.
