The Schaeffer Center is seeking a Research Program Specialist to join the Aging and Cognition research program. This position will provide administrative and programmatic support for The Center for Advancing Sociodemographic and Economic Study of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (CeASES-ADRD) and the U.S. Costs of Dementia Model project (USCDM). CeASES-ADRD is an interdisciplinary research center supporting innovative research on the health, economic and social impacts of dementia by identifying opportunities to reduce risk and costs of dementia, improve access and care, and advance solutions for achieving health equity. USCDM is a research program funded under a cooperative agreement with the National Institute on Aging. The goal is to de
velop annual, national and comprehensive costs of dementia and build research infrastructure.
Key duties include but are not limited to the following:
Providing administrative support for various functions, including the planning, budgeting, proposal development, and marketing of program services.
Researching and identifying needs of the programs and recommending modifications or solutions.
Reviewing the literature to identify and summarize important and relevant findings.
Translating high-impact research into accessible forms of media including blog posts, social media, etc.
Collecting data from a wide variety of sources, including data entry and organization.
Monitoring and tracking success metrics associated with the programming, including publications, events, accomplishments, etc.
Writing annual project status reports for funders
Assisting with drafting manuscripts and other research reports.
Managing special events and fundraising or development efforts tied to the program.
Fostering collaborations with other research centers to produce novel programming for networks.
Interfacing with key stakeholders both within the Schaeffer Center, USC, NIH and the collaborating entities.
Managing regulatory processes, including Institutional Review Board approval associated with the programs.

Compensation
The hourly rate range for this position is $39.19 - $44.28. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Position is 100% FTE, located on the USC Los Angeles University Park Campus. Hybrid work arrangement.
