THE JOB:
A Hotel Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and facilitating communication between various hotel departments to ensure efficient service delivery. They prioritize and dispatch service request from guest and internal staff, optimizing scheduling and allocating tasks based on urgency. Through effective coordination, a hotel dispatcher contributes to the seamless operations of the hotel, enhancing the overall guest experience by promptly addressing requests and maintaining a high level of service efficiency.
THE STARTING RATE: $17.09/hour
SCHEDULE:
Monday – Tuesday : DAYS OFF
Wednesday – Sunday : 2:00PM – 10:45PM
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Service Request Coordination: Receive and prioritize service requests from guests and hotel staff, including housekeeping, maintenance, and other services.
Communication Management: Serve as a central point of contact for communication between guests, hotel staff, and external service providers. Relay information clearly and promptly to ensure effective coordination and resolution of service-related matters.
Logistics and Scheduling: Coordinate schedules of housekeeping, maintenance, and other service personnel to optimize workflow. Assign tasks based on workload, urgency, and staff availability.
Problem-Solving: Own all request and complaints by resolving issues immediately and following up to ensure the guest’s satisfaction.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of service requests, dispatch activities, and resolutions. Generate reports on service performance, response times, and other key metrics to assess and improve efficiency.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous dispatcher or coordinator experience.
Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression.
Can handle multiple tasks at one time.
Has a customer centric approach.
Excellent problem solver who demonstrates composure under pressure.
