JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the cleaning of equipment and other areas of the facility as designated by the lead and/or supervisor. This individual will perform hands-on Sanitation tasks.
The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours and times, including weekends. The sanitarian role is flexible and conforms to the seasonal production schedule and environment. This role reports to a Sanitation Lead.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete physical Sanitation tasks as assigned by the lead/supervisor
Must be able to assemble and disassemble equipment using various hand and power tools
Document completion of tasks on respective master Sanitation schedule
Perform Sanitation tasks including those that require the use of power equipment
Knowledge of cleaning chemical use and purpose
Other duties as assigned
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to work with hazardous chemicals
Ability to climb stairs and ladders
Must be able to work in high places up to 30’ high
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in tight places
Must be able to work in confined spaces
Must be able to twist and bend down to reach under and between equipment
Must be able to wear a harness
Ability to work in wet, hot and humid environments
Must be able to assemble and disassemble equipment using various hand and power tools
Must be able to follow written instructions
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to follow all safety instructions
Must be able to follow all GMP procedures
Must be able to don all of the required personal protective equipment
Must be able to perform Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures
Must be able to drive a forklift
Must be able to drive a Genie Boom
Must be able to work on and drive a scissor lift
Must be able to operate a floor scrubber
Must be able to operate a power washer/ice blaster
