The Napa County Office of Education (NCOE) is a public agency that provides academic services and enrichment opportunities for students, teachers and the community, as well as critical business services for school districts. Job Summary
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Serves as a fully qualified teacher in a middle or secondary grade setting, teaching multiple subjects within community-based alternative education environment and/or juvenile correctional facility. Employs a range of strategies to deliver academically challenging instruction while addressing the social/emotional growth of the child. Experience with trauma-informed and restorative practices preferred.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
• The position requires a multiple or single subject credential with NCLB compliance as teachers teach more than one subject.
• The teacher must have expertise in positive behavioral interventions
• Must possess the self-awareness, insight and compassion to respond appropriately to student behaviors.
