Land Analyst Summary:
Provide assistance and coordination to maintain and track land opportunities, provide financial analysis, market analysis, prepare feasibility books, interface with escrow and title companies, brokers, attorneys and various consultants. Responsible for coordinating with all agencies, internal departments and outside consultants to achieve desired goals.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial proformas, cash flow statements and financial modeling in the valuation of land.
Prepare market analysis for new land opportunities.
Assist in coordination and communication with legal counsel, architects, brokers and consultants in the acquisition efforts.
Assist in the review and preparation of initial community entitlement, title reports conditions of approvals, and objectives.
Assist in the preparation of acquisition status reports at monthly and quarterly operation meetings.
Prepare collateral material (aerial photos, maps, exhibits, cover etc.).
Assist with market research (Strategic Marketing).
Monitor market consultant’s schedules and reports.
Interact with the project management team to illicit their early input on community design during the entitlement process and to support their efforts with agency officials when political issues arise on sire plans, plats, and permits.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Two (2) years of experience in land acquisition and/or administrative positions with residential/land development firms and/or real estate consulting firms required
Bachelor’s degree required; preferred emphasis in economics, finance, marketing, business, real estate or a related real estate field
Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing
Must have initiative and be able to achieve objectives with minimal supervision
Must be detail oriented and a problem solver able to deal with complex situations
Experience/Understanding of Real Estate Transactions
Basic knowledge in the preparation of Financial Proformas
Excellent PC skills, including advanced use of Excel spreadsheets
Must have a valid driver’s license
Interact well with co-workers
Understand and follow work rules and procedures
Accept constructive feedback
