The Associate Creative Production Specialist is an entry level position responsible for printing, finishing and/or prototyping social expressions product, packaging, signage and corporate collateral materials through the operation of high-speed digital publishing equipment as well as other publishing and finishing equipment.
Due to the equipment needed to perform our tasks, this position will be required to work in our Creative Studios, based in Westlake, Ohio.
The Associate Creative Production Specialist must be knowledgeable in the current visual communication field and proficient in multiple Adobe Suites programs.
Our ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of aesthetics, graphic design and color knowledge and will learn to build/re-build files when necessary for publishing/prototyping on Imaging and Media Solutions (IMS) equipment to simulate as closely as possible the look of actual manufactured product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Exhibit strong decision making, prioritizes work appropriately, consistently meets production timelines/schedules/deadlines by delivering primarily error free work. • Train in multiple functional areas (utilizing a variety of equipment) throughout the department to meet demand and deadlines. • Maintain quality control checkpoints during the production process and release accurate files and printed components along each step in the process. Minimize the need to redo steps, reducing cost and maximizes productivity. • Engage in R&D for techniques, media and materials to address new product/project demands. Required Length & Type of Experience: • This is an entry level position where we are looking for someone with up to 3 years professional experience in a Graphic Design, Publishing or related creative role (example: pre-press, print technology, prototyping, illustration, freelance).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Proficient with Adobe Suites in a production-heavy environment. • Basic understanding of Social Expression and related product categories. • Ability to complete daily work with minimal supervision. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Collaborate respectfully with peers, designers, product managers and various others across the organization. • Excellent color vision. • Understanding of digital publishing and finishing techniques as well as the maintenance and operation of publishing equipment. • Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
