~Flexi/PRN & Day shift~
No on-call, weekends, or holidays
1 shift per week (not a set day)
This position is located in our Sentara Wound Healing Center - an ambulatory wound care/hyperbaric department at SNVMC. The position will be including nursing assessments, wound care, dressing changes, patient education, and other nursing related duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License - Compact/Multi-State License
- RN-Associate's Degree OR
- RN-Bachelor's Degree OR
- RN-Diploma OR
- RN-Master's Degree OR
- RN-Doctorate Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN
- Wound Care experience
- WOCN - this can be completed after hire
At the Sentara Wound Healing Center, we provide comprehensive wound healing treatments to patients suffering from non-healing or chronic wounds. From hyperbaric oxygen therapy to infectious disease management, our specialists will assess patient symptoms and determine the underlying cause of their non-healing wound. Our wound healing team work with the referring physician and patient to customize the most effective treatment plan to stimulate healing.

Job Summary
The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
BSN preferred. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
This position is located in our Sentara Wound Healing Center - an ambulatory wound care/hyperbaric department at SNVMC. The position will be including nursing assessments, wound care, dressing changes, patient education, and other nursing related duties. This is a PRN position - day shift. No on-call, weekends, or holidays. Wound Care experience preferred. WOCN preferred - this can be done after hire.
