SCOPE:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives through consultative guidance and coaching to managers and employees. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition. The HRBP implements organizational development, succession planning, training, and performance management strategies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the first point of contact for people-related questions and concerns ensuring outstanding customer focus by delivering value-added, best in class Human Resources support.
- Provides consultative guidance and coaching to managers and employees on human resources-related matters, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, goals, and objectives.
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies. Conducts regular meetings with respective business units.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Maintain detailed and accurate accounts of investigations with timely documentation.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective/disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Partners with leaders, managers, and Talent Acquisition on workforce planning, hiring and headcount management.
- Collaborate with HR team members and leverage their expertise in delivering and implementing functional initiatives.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Offers guidance and input on business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow-up to ensure objectives are met.
- Visit site locations as needed to provide HR oversight, guidance, and coaching.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, or other relevant business field.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of HR experience within a similar or related role. Possesses a solid understanding of conducting investigations, federal and state employment laws, compensation practices, performance management, employee relations, recruitment, and leadership.
- Any special skills/training/certifications
- Strong ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
- Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and the ability to manage and deliver on multiple priorities.

- Human Resources certification through HRCI or SHRM, preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Travel: 25%
- Varying work hours may be necessary due to business demands.
