Salesforce Professional Services is seeking a Proposal Manager responsible for managing RFx (e.g., RFIs, RFPs) responses for Salesforce Professional Services solutions. We are looking for a talented, hardworking, dependable individual who can independently manage RFx responses, helping our Go-to-Market teams capture revenue and manage risk.
This role requires equal parts organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, knowledge of the procurement and acquisition process in the public sector marketplace, and the ability to simultaneously handle a variety of requests with different priority levels and deadlines.
The ideal candidate is customer service-oriented, works well both independently and in a team environment, responds with a sense of urgency and agility when needed, and is driven to succeed within the demands of a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Managing and prioritizing multiple deadlines is vital to this role.

Responsibilities:
Manages all aspects of medium-to-large-scale RFx opportunities through the development lifecycle—from RFx release to post-proposal submission activities.
Collaborates with a variety of stakeholders, including the Sales Lead, Solution Architect, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during the proposal development process to implement win strategy, technical solution, and management approach.
Manages and coordinates proposal schedule, resources, and deliverables for timely submission of RFx responses.
Performs proposal development tasks including:
Reviewing and analyzing RFx, scope, and staffing requirements
Creating annotated outline
Developing response schedule
Planning kickoff with RFx response team, including contracts/legal, staffing, and pricing teams
Scheduling and facilitating status calls throughout the response process
Tracking task progress and working with Sales Lead to flag any concerns/issues
Leading color reviews and post-review debriefs
Coordinating graphics, formatting, and editing
Working closely with the Sales Lead to ensure the final response is compliant and compelling
Initiates working group sessions among SMEs/writers early on to develop win strategies, differentiators, and solutions.
Coordinates content preparation, reviews, revisions, and finalization.
Conceptualizes and provides initial response content using proposal boilerplate library; helps develop new content, as needed.
Stays informed on proposal industry best practices, trends, and changes in government contracting regulations to continuously improve proposal development processes and outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
APMP Certification and/or Shipley Training
6+ years of experience managing proposals, with at least 3 of those years focused on Federal Government RFx responses
Ability to instruct, guide, and recommend courses of action
Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat
Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities and deadlines
Strong writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills
Ability to critically think, analyze, and resolve problems; research, collect, and gather information; communicate effectively; manage and lead a variety of stakeholders toward a common goal; and work with geographically dispersed teams online
Ability to interface with all levels of management, proposal teams, SMEs, peers, and teaming partners
