Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director, Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management to join our Supply Chain Team in Carlisle, PA. This role involves developing and implementing sourcing strategies, enhancing supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement across our supply base.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing and procurement strategies.
Lead Supplier Relationship Management programs to enhance cost efficiency and supplier performance.
Align supplier capacity and capability with business demands.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, supporting new product development and risk mitigation.
Lead supply chain initiatives, including manufacturing transfers, process improvements, and special projects.
Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customers on Value Engineering initiatives.
Develop policies and lead teams in quoting activities, New Product Introduction (NPI), and supplier selection.
Manage RFQs, supplier initiatives, negotiations, and Lean strategies to improve plant supply chain performance.
Ensure accurate product information in ERP systems.
Optimize working capital and cash flow through improved on-time delivery and lead-time reduction.
Drive the implementation of supply chain best practices.
Strong management, team building, and project management skills.
Exceptional negotiation and customer interface skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels.
Ability to function comfortably in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Advanced knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
Proficiency in MS Office; advanced skills preferred.
General P&L understanding is required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university (Business, Supply Chain, or Technical preferred).
MBA or Masters in Supply Chain (or equivalent) is preferred.
APICS/ISM/Supply Chain certification or willingness to complete APICS CPIM or CSCP certification program (or equivalent) program within two years of employment.
7-15 years of progressive experience in professional Materials position(s) is required.
7+ years supervisory experience is required.
Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement.
