Associate's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Working knowledge of materials management operations. Knowledge of resource management concepts and UC policies related to inventory management, etc.
Knowledge of relevant internal policy and external guidelines.
Supervisory experience in materials management operation or similar supply chain and logistics
Material Management in a hospital environment
High school diploma or higher
Demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring and advising employees. Actively cooperates and supports the work of others.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and execute plans to meet deadlines.
Organizational skills to coordinate assigned staff schedules and unit operations. Customer service orientation to quickly address questions or issues.
Interpersonal skills to effectively motivate others and collaborate with others to achieve common goals. Develops and maintains rapport and professional relationships with assigned staff, peers, multidisciplinary team members, and management.
Ability to apply reasoning skills to evaluate issues and identify a resolution. Sound judgment skills to guide within defined standards to determine an appropriate action.
Verbal and written communication skills to explain materials management concepts; actively listens and provides advice.
Ability to perform commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software. Comprehensive knowledge of the organization's materials management application programs to teach others.
3 or more years of Materials Management operation or similar supply chain and logistics work experience
